The trigger is shipped configured to longest neck designed plastic bottles found in Orlando, FL, USA. Here there seems to be 2 basic neck lengths. By pre-adjusting the trigger for the longest neck, the shorter neck bottles will easily work also.
These launchers are shipped globally, so bottles worldwide potentially may vary outside the ranges we have here. This trigger adjustment solves bottle-size fluctuations issue. Just loosen the two black knurled knobs, loosen the aluminum shaft collars, adjust cable ties, reposition the shaft collars, and retighten the 2 screws. Adjustment can be done within a few minutes.
We use a common 8” long cable ties for gripping the bottle flange. There is no standard of exactness between brands of cable ties. This adjustable trigger compensates for any differences between brands.
Also, in arid climates, cable ties have a tendency to “dry out”. When cable ties are injection molded, water is actually added to the nylon resin to add to inhance flexibility. Ever notice that cable ties are always sold in hermetically sealed plastic bags? So, with time, this water will evaporate and make the nylon more brittle. When this happens, you just loosen the two black knurled knobs, loosen the aluminum shaft collars, replace broken cable ties, reposition the shaft collars, and retighten the 2 screws.
